Disney Halloween 2012 – Thursday

Recently we went to Disney for a long weekend, primarily for the Tower of Terror Ten Miler race, but also for Halloween and the Epcot Food & Wine festival. So here’s Thursday:

and me and Goofy!

We splurged on a room at the Yacht Club and we had a nice water view. In the background, at the left, you can see a storm coming in.

Yeah, that storm:

Unfortunately we had a dinner reservation at Kouzzina which is right across the lagoon, on the Boardwalk. Right where it’s raining. And we couldn’t change it.

We tried walking there, but got caught in a downpour that soaked us despite the fact we were wearing raincoats. After hiding under some trees, when the storm got worse, we made a run back to the hotel so we could change.

And we saw this:

It was still raining, but less hard, so we put the plastic ponchos on and went to dinner. We still got wet, but less. Dinner was good. I had a sampler that had pastitsio, chicken with orzo and a lamb slider, and Doug had a pork tenderloin, I think. The food was good!

Dessert was good too!

This reminded me of Katherine:

(We actually ended up buying one later because after the race, Doug was really wet and cold and that was the only shirt we liked.)

We also caught part of the Epcot fireworks:
