NYC, part 4

After the Beatles exhibit at Lincoln Center, Katie and I headed up towards Central Park to see Strawberry Fields, the memorial to John Lennon.

Here’s the first glimpse of the Dakota, the building he lived in (and which he was killed in front of):

Somehow in all my trips to NYC growing up, I never saw Strawberry Fields. Here it is:

After that we went back over to the Dakota. It really is a creepy gothic looking building. I think they used it for Rosemary’s Baby.

And then we stood for a moment by the gate where John was shot. Sobering and so weird to be there.
