2014 picture Year in Review – part 1

Probably at some point I will stop doing these, but I do like to look back and reflect on all the good stuff that happened – it helps dim the memory of the bad stuff.

So here goes the happiest parts of 2014.

January:

Marathon weekend at Disney in which we cheered for our friend Meredith, who was running a Dopey (meaning a 5k, 10k, half and full marathon) and Amber who was also running. We at at Be Your Guest, which we’d not done before. And ate lots of zebra domes. (Pastries they have at Boma and we found that they sell at the gift shop over at Animal Kingdom Lodge.

February:

I took an epic weekend NYC trip with one of my besties, Katie, to see the Beatle sites as it was the 50th anniversary of their 1964 visit. We met up with some of my other friends (Betsy, John, and Beth), saw the Ed Sullivan theater with its replica 1964 marquee, we saw an awesome free Beatles exhibit, walked the High Line, went to the Natural History Museum, the NY Public Library, the Empire State Building, had NYC pizza, and saw ice skaters at Bryant Park under the Empire State Building while Sinatra played, saw Strawberry Fields, and the Dakota. And we stayed at an awesome and pretty cheap hotel right off Times Square!

Somehow, for a general admission show, Doug and I managed to be front row for Neil Finn – and he was only feet from me when he was on his piano. We also met a couple really nice guys in line who we sat with at the show. Great overall experience. Did I mention FRONT ROW?!

Abbey Road on the River! What can I say – another super fun year with both my besties Janine and Katie, and my favorite Norwegians (who I got to hang out, drink, play guitar and sing with) AND The Return, who used my suite as a dressing room and were their usual awesome, fun selves. Oh, and I met Freda Kelly in the bathroom.
