National Harbor in the snow

We had a cold Sunday in January so we decided to go to the National Harbor for lunch, because I was craving a crab cake from The Crabcake Cafe, this place that is relatively new to the Harbor. I think they have my favorite crab cake ever. And we have tried a lot of them, because they are very much a Maryland thing. Their crabcakes are so not filled with breading that they are advertised as gluten-free, which is awesome. They also have the perfect cream of crab soup – not glutinous, and actually flavorful. (We’ve tried a lot of cream of crab soups too.)

Anyway, we were not disappointed.

After lunch it was flurrying so we decided to walk around. We ended up just doing the virtual 5k I’d signed up for – there is a nice trail you can walk that leads up over an overpass that goes over the Beltway right by the Woodrow Wilson Bridge, which is a fairly notorious (for traffic) drawbridge that goes over the Potamac.

Terrible picture because of hathead and snow, but here’s my virtual 5k medal! With bonus Willow.
