What I’ve Been Up To, June, part 3

I fed Kevin and Jenna’s cats for a few weeks while they were on vacation – here’s Raoul:

On this particular day I wasn’t feeling great so I took a day off.

I got some relaxing in with Willow:

Then she helped me change some guitar strings.

We met Alicia, my oldest friend, for dinner in DC. She was doing a year long program here where she went back and forth between home in NYC and here. When she was in town, we tried to get together for dinner occasionally. There was a really bad storm this day and metro was shut down in our area for repairs. Doug and I drove into DC and picked her up at Union Station. There was a pretty rainbow though!

And Alicia gave me this as a belated b-day present:

And now, foooood! We took Alicia to Ocapo for Peruvian. It was sooo good. They have great drinks there too.

We had Pussycat Doll Kaya Jones visit. She was very nice and very very enthusiastic. Here she is with one of our scientists.

And with one of our scientists and engineers:

We’ve been calling Kristin’s plant “Dave” when Joe was plant-sitting and the plant was in Dave’s old spot. Here Dave had a little accident:

Here’s me talking to Gene Rodenberry and Majel Barrett’s son, Rod. He visited with his family.

The other guy is Greg Viggiano (the executive director of the DC Museum of Science Fiction):

They had a Goddard event for employees where they had a band and food trucks and stuff at the Rec Center. There’s also a playground. Alex was highly amusing. Right after this pic, that thing bent all the way over to the ground, and then threw him off. Too funny!
