Abbey Road on the River 2017

Abbey Road on the River this year was pretty low-key, but great. My fav Norwegians and Dutch folks were there, as was Katie. Katie and I were both pregnant, so neither of us were drinking or staying up exceedingly late. I did the best I could, but I was tired!! And the hotel was far from the new festival venue. I liked the new festival grounds. I wish you didn’t have to take a shuttle back and forth. There were no restaurants by the hotel, so we ubered/lyfted to restaurants in Jeffersonville. There were restaurants near the festival at least! I just can’t eat festival food very often, and being pregnant, I wanted to even less.

My lunch at a nearby pizza/beer place – garlic knots and a mozzerella salad:

Kjetil gave me his video camera so I got to be TNB’s official videographer, ha!

LSB was at the festival – ALL of them this year, and I was so glad!

Katie arrived the day after I did and it was so good to see her:

We went with the guys to dinner at that pizza place. There was quite a wait to get in, but we chatted and the time went. When we got a table, I told the waitress we had two pregnant ladies and could we get somebread STAT, and she brought some garlic knots right out!

Vegar took a bunch of pics of us while we were waiting too:

Katie and I took a lyft into town for breakfast one morning to Wild Eggs in Louisville. We lucked out and got two spots at the breakfast counter, avoiding a wait! This was a delicious potato casserole with a perfectly cooked egg!

On the way back from breakfast we spotted a farmer’s market and briefly checked it out:

I loved these metal sculptures:

Last year Kjetil introduced me to Alex – she’s the wife of the guy who masters Kjetil’s albums and it turns out we do very similar jobs and we have a lot in common, so we’ve become friends! Alex and her husband Joe and their family drove to meet us for dinner and I was glad I got to go! It was a really fun evening!

I ordered the salmon and it was really good!
