New Smyrna Beach – June 2018, part 1

Our Florida family vacation in June was pretty great this year – instead of dealing with loss, we were able to bring Elena there, to one of our favorite beaches, and just enjoy being. Having a baby at the beach was definitely not as relaxing as usual, and I barely read (I usually finish a ton of books there), but that’s ok.

And we ended up with a series of sunset pics snapped by our niece Alli, during a walk our first night there, which are one of my fav things ever.

So this was not Elena’s first flight, of course, but her third. She did great again.

Elena enjoyed waffles at the hotel breakfast the next morning.

Then we changed her into this amazing hand-me-down dress from Caitlin’s daughter, to take pics for Elena’s 7 month birthday!

And of course I forgot to put her headband on. :D

At lunch at Dixie Crossroads, meeting the family, I had the royal red shrimp:

And Elena had toes:

Next we got settled at the condo:

And then headed out for a walk on the beach!

It was her first time seeing the ocean and she liked it. She loves Moana so no surprise. :-)

My nephew brought his drone – here is what some of the family was doing while we were walking:
