England Day 3: Oxford, part 1

On our 3rd day in England, we headed to Oxford for the day. We had a car, but you can’t easily drive into Oxford and park there, but there are park and ride lots, so we just parked there and and hopped a bus into town. Easy! Fortunately we had Jasmin there to help us figure it all out. Here’s part 1.

We started the day with some snuggles, of course, and a bottle.

Seriously, she is the cutest!

Once in Oxford, I might have hit up a Starbucks for a mug.

We checked out this cute covered market with tons of cute shops and stalls.

(That watermelon is totally available on Amazon, and I bought it after we got back.)

This seller I found later on Etsy and they have awesome stuff. https://www.etsy.com/shop/laylaamber?ref=l2-shopheader-name

This bakery had cool stuff.

The “Bridge of Sighs” – featured in Harry Potter! It is the Herford Bridge, joining two parts of Herford College.

I love this series of photos. She was trying to grasp one of my hairs.

Next Jasmin walked the baby around the block while we popped into the Museum of the History of Science.

Tycho Brahe:

This was the coolest thing for me – a blackboard with Einstein’s actual writing on it. He gave a lecture there in the 30s and they saved it.

Next up we had high tea at a department store nearby, at Patisserie Valerie.

Then I browsed the baby clothes really quick and managed to contain myself to just a space-themed fuzzy bathrobe.

But how cute is this?

After tea, Jasmin baby wrangled for us again so Doug and I could race through the Ashmolean Museum. They have a really nice collection and I’m glad we got to dip into it a little.

Back out on the street – this vendor had cute little wooden animals on springs. I bought a cat for Elena. (for later on, not to play with now)

The main shopping drag:

The shiny wingull event was going on during this time and it took me two days to get one. Yeesh.
