Colorado/Albuquerque trip: Day 4, Old Town Albuquerque

After balloons, and after work duties were complete, Doug, Elena, me, and my super nice co-worker Peter headed out for a late lunch and to explore Albuquerque a little!

We went to Fork and Fig, which was awesome. They were also very nice and warned us that we might have a long wait – we appreciated them being up front with us. We decided to wait and it was totally worth it. And the wait wasn’t as long as feared. The food was amazing. I wish I could remember what sandwich I ordered, but that’s what happens when it takes you 6 months to blog something! The Brussels were amazing and as I recall Peter’s grilled squash was great too. That soup tho…

After lunch, we had take two of trying the Sandia tram. This was the back of the 100 person line for the tram. They told us maybe a 2 hours wait, but this looked more like 4+ to me. I mean, we waited like 20 minutes or so to see how fast it would move and the answer was NOT AT ALL. Ugh. It was a beautiful day, so not surprising.

Nice view from the parking lot though!

What else was there to do but drive around and look at Breaking Bad shooting locations?!

This was Better Call Saul’s office.

Walter White’s house! Taken quickly from the car.

After that, we went to Old Town Albuquerque and walked around. It was really pleasant and we had a nice time!

Peter wanted to check out the “candy lady” who made the blue meth for the show. (Which is rock candy.)

We were all pretty tired after that, and not very hungry, so I think we hit a Panera and got some food to go so we could crash at the room. Getting up at like 4:30am had us all going to bed super early.
