Day 3 of our Disney Princess trip had us at Epcot, and the newish Festival of the Arts. We had not been to it yet, though a friend of mine went a few weeks before we did, so I was able to get some tips from her.
I really enjoyed it (food booths! Art boots!) and would definitely go back.

With Conley:

I was happy to see some artists I already follow on Instagram there:

We let Elena run around a little at the Wreck It Ralph play area.

Then we headed to the festival center because they had shirts you could get silk screened right in front of you!

That one is mine!

We also checked out the food there. This little easel was all chocolate! If I could have gotten it home without melting I would have bought one!
Trio of Savory Croissant Doughnuts: Whipped Boursin® Garlic and Fine Herbs Cheese with Fresh Herbs (V); Chicken Salad with Shaved Fennel and Fresh Herbs; and Spicy Tuna with Wasabi and Seaweed Salad

Gallery Bites: A Trio of Hors d’Oeuvres: Chilled Shrimp with Cucumber Cream Cheese on a Crostini; Traditional Deviled Egg with Candied Bacon; and Crispy Truffled Risotto Ball with Truffle Aïoli

After this, we headed to the Baby Center to cool off for a little since it was right next door.

Then back to the World Showcase! We stopped at Norway for some snacks and so I could use some of my Norwegian language skills. Mission accomplished!

More food!
China: “Dragon and Phoenix: Spicy Sautéed Shrimp with Spinach Noodles”.

Someone was tired after eating Norwegian baked goods!

From Mexico: Chocoflan: Creamy Mexican Custard and Chocolate Sponge Cake topped with Cajeta and Hazelnuts . Sopes de Chilorio: Slow-braised Pork marinated in Ancho Chili Paste served on Fried Corn Dough with Black Beans, Queso Oaxaca, Crema Mexicana and Salsa Verde.
Callo de Hacha en Salsa de Jengibre y Habanero: Two Seared Scallops with Ginger-habanero Sauce atop Yucca Purée.
Mexico is consistently one of my favs for festival food and it didn’t disappoint this time either.

I was tempted by but did not purchase this kitty.

We were filling up but we did manage to hit Japan for
Sushi Donut: Donut-shaped Sushi featuring Salmon, Tuna, Shrimp, Avocado and Masago accented with Citrus-soy Gelée and Wasabi on the side. Note the wasabi is in the shape of a Mickey!

Then a Pokémon event started and I got a shiny clamperl first try, so that was nice! Next we hit Spaceship Earth. I held Elena up so the ride would take her picture. And we let her pick the options on the screen too. The result was hilarious.

Next we played some futuristic shuffleboard inside the Spaceship Earth area. It was a little penned in, so we thought we’d let her run around.

Meanwhile Janine and Ron were doing some shadowboxes (they had cool shadowboxes of famous paintings and you could pose in them. Ron actually googled to make sure his pose was accurate.

Next up, the vegetable cruise!

And then back to the Baby Center for a diaper change and some AC.

We finally all converged at Akershus in Norway for an early dinner together! Our waitress was from Stavanger and was very impressed with my Norwegian! :D

Unfortunately the princesses kept showing up after we’d belted Elena into the high chair. We got her out once, but it was such a pain (and it kept interrupting Elena’s meal, that after that I just did badly lit selfies.

I believe Elena ate a kids version of the Norwegian meatballs and potatoes. :-)
Group pic!

Frieda Kahlo shadowbox:

I bought a print of this painting. Not a great pic, but it’s the Hollywood Tower Hotel at Halloween and I kind of love it. The artist was there and signed it for me.

Before we headed back to the hotel, we looked in the gift shop and I couldn’t resist getting Elena and Hei Hei and a Pua.

When we got back to the hotel and the pool was still open, we decided to go check it out. We had yet to visit it and we really wanted to! We used a little Moana coverup handed down from Caitlin:
Elena was skeptical at first (because she was tired) but had a great time in the water. We didn’t stay too long, just a quick dip with Ron and Conley and then we all headed to bed.
