In September we met up with Mike & Gloria and Rebecca and her family at Mount Vernon for their Colonial Market Fair. It was still too hot for costumes, and Rebecca and I had kids, so we just went for fun!
This glassmaker had beautiful stuff.
I especially liked the Harry Potter inspired ones!
We listened to the musicians for a little bit. Video:
We didn’t do the house tour, but we did roam the museum and spent a while in the kids room, which had all kids of cool stuff to explore. Elena was very taken by the stuffed horses that the mannequins of Washington were riding.
Also it was Pokemon Go Community Day, so I was trying to catch at least one shiny. Which I managed to do. When we left, Doug indulged me and we spent the last 10 minutes of it driving down the main drag in Alexandria so I could try to catch two more. Which I did. yay.
Somehow I didn’t get that many (any?) toddler pics. You’re welcome.
