We had planned to go to Disney in February for the Princess Half because we had friends going – even though we prefer going during Flower and Garden (April-ish). I am SO glad we went in February, because we squeaked this trip in before the world shut down. And somehow none of us got sick even though I am quite sure COVID was at Disney and we just didn’t know it.
February had the other advantage of the Epcot Festival of the Arts, which has become a fav of mine.
So February it was. So this is our last time on a plane (though we should have flown in May and June both). We made sure Elena traveled a lot as a baby and now I’m sure it’ll all be foreign to her by the next time we get the chance.
This was also Elena’s first flight not as a lap baby, with her own seat, and it was really fun having the whole row to ourselves. My big girl.
Also, a front facing car rental seat! Someone was wiped out by the time we got to Orlando, got our car, and got on our way.
It felt like this trip was going to be a repeat of November, where it was cold and windy.
We had lunch at Pandora because I love their counter service food and you can mobile order it. Win!
Elena was wearing her Mickey jeans jacket and hoodie. <3
Once again, no luck getting Flight of Passage FP, but we did go on the boat ride and that was something Elena could go on.
We had dinner at Boma, one of my fav restaurants – and sadly now I don’t know how they will redo Boma for the pandemic era. It was a huge buffet of food from different regions of Africa. They had a spectacular array of soups and desserts and I loved it. But buffets are probably now a thing of the past. :-(
Someone conked out on the way back to the hotel:
Oh and this finally happened. Everyone has a million shiny swablu and it became a joke that I would never get one. But this was lucky #1928 (that’s how many I tapped on) – and finally got a shiny. Thanks, Disney!
