I needed some cheer this morning, let’s let’s return to blogging about something happy.
Here’s Day 3 of our February Disney Princess Half Marathon trip. This was the day we spent at the Epcot Festival of the Arts, which I enjoyed a tremendous amount this year. I tried to do and see as much as I could since I felt like I missed things last year.
We start our morning with the race, which Doug ran:
I made the mistake of giving Elena part of a muffin (also she wanted to sit in her stroller) which is proceeded to make muffin dust of. And which I tried very hard to clean up. And after I got it cleaned up, Doug came back from the race and gave Elena another piece of the muffin at her request, having not witnessed the first destruction, so we got to do it all over again. Good thing she is so cute.
I dressed Elena and I in matching Dole Whip dresses from Ambrie:
The dresses were really comfy and soft but I want to recut mine so it has more shape.
We got quite a view of the Epcot construction:
One of the first things we did was the paint by numbers wall! Everyone was giving a brush, and three little tubs of paint with numbers on them.
We’ll check back in on this later.
Conley and I sipping tea at Van Gogh’s cafe:
Elena has some room to grow in her dress.
This chalk art was amazing – and you could sit where indicated and it would make a cool illusion!
Next we went back to the paint by numbers mural to try it out!
How about some more beautiful food!
The only souvenir we bought Elena this time out was a bubble wand because every time she saw other kids blowing bubbles, she was so happy and would yell “bubbles!” She loved it and we used it for months after which is good because it was ridiculously expensive.
I spotted Ashley Taylor, an artist I like, selling an awesome Elsa print, and signing it. So I bought one!
Conley got me a grapefruit beer and it was awesome. My fav.
I had friends in real Venice for Carnivale at the time, so here I am in fake Italy. Little did we know that within days, they’d be seeing the start of the pandemic there.
Let’s check back on the paint by numbers mural!
Then we headed over to La Hacienda de San Angel – which is NOT the restaurant in the pyramid, I apparently confused them. But it’s all good because I had not actually been to this restaurant!
I had to get Dole Whip in my Dole Whip dress!
Here are some pics that got left out – more shadow box shots!
I’m not sure I ever noticed this shadow before!
And that was our lovely day!
